Developmental and values maps
Gravesian / Spiral Dynamics–shaped value systems and nearby developmental psychology — how sense-making can grow across a life.
About
Some maps describe how what people find meaningful can shift across a life — value systems, ego development, constructive-developmental stages. Gravesian levels (later popularised in Spiral Dynamics–shaped language) are one familiar practitioner path.
Nearby research lines include Loevinger’s ego development, Kegan’s constructive-developmental work, and cross-cultural values (Schwartz, World Values Survey).
Background
Graves itself is carried more in practice than in a dense peer-reviewed stack. The wider developmental and values research is stronger. We say that plainly so people who know the popular labels can still find the science under the hood.
The www way
Our free map here is World: six home worlds (Valley, Arena, Keep, Summit, Forest, Horizon). Glimpse is short; Insight World uses more questions on the same six.
Partner work from the Institute for Adult Development and 5 Deep also belongs with worldviews and growth.
